St. Benedict religious medal in brass. Various religious medals have been found in a French context all over North America. This very crisp example is cast directly from an original in our collection and is the largest medal we offer. It is marked "Hardy", likely Claude or Jean Hardy, famous engravers during the late 17th/early 18th Century in France.
